Wasser oder Milch

Once upon a time, King Akbar was taking a walk in his garden with his favourite minister Birbal. King Akbar was a very just and fair king and so he always believed that his people loved him.

King Akbar said, “Birbal. I believe that my people respect me since I am a good king. I believe that everyone in my kingdom loves me because I am a great king and am just and fair.”

Es war einmal, als König Akbar mit seinem Lieblingsminister Birbal in seinem Garten spazieren ging. König Akbar war ein sehr gerechter und fairer König und so glaubte er immer, dass sein Volk ihn liebte.

König Akbar sagte: „Birbal. Ich glaube, dass mein Volk mich respektiert, da ich ein guter König bin. Ich glaube, dass jeder in meinem Königreich mich liebt, weil ich ein großer König bin und gerecht und fair bin. “

 

Birbal said, “My dear King, you are right. Everyone in the kingdom loves you which is why they do not leave the kingdom and go elsewhere. They however also fear you.”

King Akbar frowned and said, “That is not possible. How can one love me and fear me at the same time? I do not believe it.”

Birbal sagte: „Mein lieber König, Sie haben recht. Jeder im Königreich liebt Sie, weshalb sie das Königreich nicht verlassen und woanders hingehen. Sie fürchten Sie aber auch. “

König Akbar runzelte die Stirn und sagte: „Das ist nicht möglich. Wie kann man mich gleichzeitig lieben und fürchten? Ich glaube es nicht.”

Birbal said, “Let me prove it to you, my King.”

The next day, Akbar announced to his people that he was going on a very dangerous hunt. He would be hunting a dangerous and mad elephant.

King Akbar pretended to leave the city and came back one day later. The tub was filled with milk which was mixed with water.

König Akbar sagte: „Im Zentrum der Stadt gibt es eine große Wanne. Wenn ihr mich liebt, gießt ein Glas Milch in die Wanne und betet für mich. “

König Akbar gab vor, die Stadt zu verlassen und kam einen Tag später zurück. Die Wanne war mit Milch gefüllt, die mit Wasser gemischt wurde.

Am nächsten Tag verkündete Akbar seinen Leuten, dass er wieder auf eine gefährliche Jagd gehen würde. Er würde denselben gefährlichen und verrückten Elefanten jagen.

König Akbar sagte: „Es gibt dieselbe große Wanne im Zentrum der Stadt. Wenn ihr mich liebt, gießt ein Glas Milch in die Wanne und betet für mich. Ich werde prüfen, wer die Milch einschenkt und wer nicht. “

 

King Akbar pretended to leave the city and came back one day later. The tub was filled with pure milk.

Birbal said, “I have proved that your people love and fear you. The first time, there were many who poured water into the tub hoping that the others would pour milk. You did not say anything about checking. They still loved you and wanted to fill the tub. The next day, they filled it up with pure milk since they feared what would happen if they were caught.”

König Akbar gab vor, die Stadt zu verlassen und kam einen Tag später zurück. Die Wanne war mit reiner Milch gefüllt.

Birbal sagte: „Ich habe bewiesen, dass Ihr Volk Sie liebt und fürchtet. Das erste Mal gab es viele, die Wasser in die Wanne gossen, in der Hoffnung, dass die anderen Milch gießen würden. Sie haben nichts über die Überprüfung gesagt. Sie liebten Sie immer noch und wollten die Wanne füllen. Am nächsten Tag füllten sie es mit reiner Milch, da sie befürchteten, was passieren würde, wenn sie gefangen würden. “
