Aesop’s Fables – Die zwei Hähne und der Adler
Once upon a time, there were two Cocks who lived in the same farm.
Every morning there was a big fight between the Cocks.
TranslateEs waren einmal zwei Hähne, die auf derselben Farm lebten.
Jeden Morgen gab es einen großen Kampf zwischen den Hähnen.
The first Cock would say, “I am the stronger bird. I must first say Cockadoodledoooooooo”.
The second Cock would say, “No. I am the stronger bird. I must first say Cockadoodledoooooooo”.
They would then scream together, “Cockadoodledoooooooo”.
TranslateDer erste Hahn würde sagen: „Ich bin der stärkere Vogel. Ich muss zuerst Cockadoodledoooooooo sagen“.
Der zweite Hahn würde sagen: „Nein. Ich bin der stärkere Vogel. Ich muss zuerst Cockadoodledoooooooo sagen “.
Sie würden dann zusammen “Cockadoodledoooooooo” schreien.
One day the first bird said, “Let us fight. The winner should stay in the farm. The loser should leave the farm.”
The second bird said, “Yes. Let us fight today.”
TranslateEines Tages sagte der erste Vogel: „Lass uns kämpfen. Der Gewinner sollte auf der Farm bleiben. Der Verlierer sollte die Farm verlassen. “

The two cocks fought. They fought with their beaks and claws. One Cock scratched the other Cock with its long claws. One Cock pecked the other Cock with its beak. Both the cocks were injured.
Soon the second Cock became tired and the first Cock won the fight.
TranslateDie beiden Hähne kämpften. Sie kämpften mit ihren Schnäbeln und Krallen. Ein Hahn kratzte den anderen Hahn mit seinen langen Krallen. Ein Hahn pickte den anderen Hahn mit seinem Schnabel. Beide Hähne wurden verletzt.
Bald wurde der zweite Hahn müde und der erste Hahn gewann den Kampf.
The second Cock said, “I lose. You are now the winner.”
The second Cock went to hide in the shed. The first Cock flew to the top of the roof.
It then shouted loudly at the top of its voice, “Cockadoodledoooooooo! Cockadoodledoooooooo! Cockadoodledoooooooo!”
TranslateDer zweite Hahn sagte: „Ich habe verloren. Du bist jetzt der Gewinner. “
Der zweite Hahn versteckte sich im Schuppen. Der erste Hahn flog auf das Dach.

An Eagle heard the sound and saw the Cock on top of the roof. The Eagle flew down and caught the Cock.
The Eagle said, “What a stupid bird you are? You are on top of the roof during the afternoon.”
TranslateEin Adler hörte das Geräusch und sah den Hahn oben auf dem Dach. Der Adler flog runter und fing den Hahn.
Der Adler sagte: „Was für ein dummer Vogel bist du? Du bist am nachmittag auf dem Dach. “
Saying so, the Eagle ate the Cock and then flew away. The second Cock became the master of the farm.
