Aesop’s Fables – Der Wolf und der magere Hund
Once upon a time, there was a very hungry Wolf. The wolf was walking around the village searching for something to eat. He saw a very thin dog tied to a chain. The dog looked as if he had not eaten for days. He was so hungry he decided it would be ok to eat the dog.
The wolf started to move towards the dog when the dog said, “My lord, you are a mighty wolf when I am a thin stick of a dog. How unpleasant it would be for your great and powerful teeth to eat a thin dog like me.”
The wolf said, “That is true but I am so hungry.”
The dog said, “There is a great festival in this village in a few days. I shall eat a lot and become fat. Then you can eat me happily”
The wolf said, “That is true. You are so smart. I shall let you go now. You become fat and healthy. I will come here again later.”
TranslateDer Wolf sagte: „Das ist wahr. Du bist so schlau. Ich werde dich jetzt gehen lassen. Du wirst dick und gesund. Ich werde später wieder hierher kommen. “
The wolf came back after a few days. He looked around for the dog and he was in the master’s yard.
The wolf said, “Come out, Mr. Dog. You said that you will let me eat you once you are fat.”
TranslateDer Wolf sagte: “Komm heraus, Herr Hund. Du hast gesagt, dass du dich von mir fressen lässt, sobald du dick bist “
The dog replied, “Sure. My friend, Mr. Porter will open the door and you can come in.”
TranslateDer Hund antwortete: „Sicher. “
The wolf got scared. He knew Mr. Porter was a huge dog who hated wolves. He heard the door opening and he ran away as fast as he could.
