Aesop’s Fables – Der Bauer und der Storch
Once upon a time, there lived a simple and kind stork. He was very friendly and made friends with some cranes. The cranes were very naughty by nature.
The cranes invited him over to visit a field which had been newly planted by the farmer. They were so excited that they landed on the nets which the farmer had laid to trap the birds.
TranslateEs war einmal ein einfacher und freundlicher Storch. Er war sehr freundlich und freundete sich mit einigen Kränen an. Die Kräne waren von Natur aus sehr frech.
Die Kräne luden ihn ein, ein Feld zu besuchen, das der Bauer neu gepflanzt hatte. Sie waren so aufgeregt, dass sie auf den Netzen landeten, die der Bauer gelegt hatte, um die Vögel zu fangen.
The farmer came and was surprised to see a stork among the cranes. The stork was very sad and asked the farmer to forgive him.
“Dear Mr. Farmer, I am a stork and you know that I am a good bird. Please forgive me.”
TranslateDer Bauer kam und war überrascht, einen Storch zwischen den Kränen zu sehen. Der Storch war sehr traurig und bat den Bauern, ihm zu vergeben.
„Sehr geehrter Herr Bauer, ich bin ein Storch und Sie wissen, dass ich ein guter Vogel bin. Bitte verzeihen Sie mir.”
The farmer looked at the bird and said, “You may be a very good bird and a kind one too. But you were roaming around with these cranes and they are thieves. You will hence share the same punishment as them.”
TranslateDer Bauer sah den Vogel an und sagte: „Sie können ein sehr guter und auch ein freundlicher Vogel sein. Aber Sie waren mit diesen Kränen unterwegs und sie sind Diebe. Sie werden daher die gleiche Strafe wie sie teilen.“
