Aesop’s Fables – Der Hase und die Ohren
The king of the forest, the mighty Lion, was once eating a goat when the horns of the goat pierced him. He was angry. He roared loudly.
ROOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
TranslateDer König des Waldes, der mächtige Löwe, aß einmal eine Ziege, als die Hörner der Ziege ihn durchbohrten. Er war wütend. Er brüllte laut.

He was so angry that he called all the animals of the forest to a meeting.
The lion said, “Who dares wear such dangerous crowns on their ears? How dare anyone wear horns?”
The animals remained silent as they were afraid of the lion.
TranslateEr war so wütend, dass er alle Tiere des Waldes zu einem Treffen einberief.
Der Löwe sagte: „Wer wagt es, so gefährliche Kronen an den Ohren zu tragen? Wie kann es jemand wagen, Hörner zu tragen? “
Die Tiere schwiegen, weil sie Angst vor dem Löwen hatten.
The Lion announced, “Hear me well! Anyone wearing horns should leave the kingdom by tomorrow. If I find anyone with horns, large or small, I shall kill them with my mighty claws.”
TranslateDer Löwe verkündete: „Hört mich gut! Wer Hörner trägt, sollte das Königreich bis morgen verlassen. Wenn ich jemanden mit großen oder kleinen Hörnern finde, werde ich ihn mit meinen mächtigen Krallen töten.“
The animals were terrified. All the animals that were born with horns started to pack and leave the kingdom. The remaining animals were praying as they were afraid that the lion would still be angry.
TranslateDie Tiere hatten Angst. Alle Tiere, die mit Hörnern geboren wurden, begannen zu packen, um das Königreich zu verlassen. Die übrigen Tiere beteten, weil sie befürchteten, dass der Löwe immer noch wütend sein würde.
There was a very timid rabbit and he was very afraid. When he came out of his burrow in the morning, the morning sun fell on his back. He saw the shadow and his ears looked like he had very big horns.
TranslateEs gab ein sehr schüchternes Kaninchen und er hatte große Angst. Als er morgens aus seinem Bau kam, fiel ihm die Morgensonne auf den Rücken. Er sah den Schatten und seine Ohren sahen aus, als ob er sehr große Hörner hätte.
He said, “I shall pack my bags and leave, neighbour Squirrel”
The Squirrel said, “But you have no horns. Why should you leave?”
The Rabbit replied, “The Lion’s anger is blind. He will decide that my ears are horns no matter what I say. It is best if I leave.”
TranslateEr sagte: „Ich werde meine Koffer packen und weggehen, Nachbar Eichhörnchen.”
Das Eichhörnchen sagte: „Aber du hast keine Hörner. Warum solltest du weggehen? “
Der Hase antwortete: „Der Zorn des Löwen ist blind. Er wird entscheiden, dass meine Ohren Hörner sind, egal was ich sage. Am besten gehe ich weg.“
