Aesop’s Fables – Der Wolf und das Baby

 

Mr. Wolf was very hungry and was searching for food. He was walking near a hut in the village. The wolf heard a baby crying loudly.

“WAAAAAAH! WAAAAAAH! WAAAAAAH!”

Translate

Herr Wolf war sehr hungrig und suchte nach Nahrung. Er ging in der Nähe einer Hütte im Dorf spazieren. Der Wolf hörte ein Baby laut weinen.

„WAAAAAAH! WAAAAAAH! WAAAAAAH! “

 

 

The Mother said to the baby, “Hush Baby, Hush baby. Stop your crying otherwise I will give you to the wolf.”

Translate

Die Mutter sagte zu dem Baby: „Stilles Baby, stilles Baby. Hör auf zu weinen, sonst gebe ich dich dem Wolf. “

 

 

The wolf was very happy. He was going to get a baby for lunch today and that too for free. He went near the window and sat down happily.

Translate

Der Wolf war sehr glücklich. Er würde heute ein Baby zum Mittagessen bekommen und das auch kostenlos. Er ging zum Fenster und setzte sich glücklich.

 

 

The baby did not stop crying. The baby cried and cried but the mother did not give the baby to the wolf. The wolf was waiting the entire day.

Translate

Das Baby hörte nicht auf zu weinen. Das Baby weinte und weinte, aber die Mutter gab das Baby nicht dem Wolf. Der Wolf wartete den ganzen Tag.

 

 

In the end of the day, the mother was putting the baby to sleep.

Translate

Am Ende des Tages legte die Mutter das Baby in den Schlaf.

 

 

“Go to sleep, baby, go to sleep. Don’t worry about the wolf. Daddy is watching you. Our dogs are watching you. Daddy will kill the wolf if he is near you.”

Translate

„Geh schlafen, Baby, geh schlafen. Mach dir keine Sorgen um den Wolf. Papa beobachtet dich. Unsere Hunde beobachten dich. Papa wird den Wolf töten, wenn er in deiner Nähe ist.“

 

 

The daddy and the dogs just saw the wolf at that very moment. The wolf had to run to save his own life from the man and the dogs.

Translate

Der Papa und die Hunde haben gerade den Wolf in diesem Moment gesehen. Der Wolf musste rennen, um sein eigenes Leben vor dem Mann und den Hunden zu retten.
