Aesop’s Fables – L’Astrologo

 

Once upon a time, there was a man who lived in a tiny village.

The man used to say, “I am an astrologer. I can read anyone’s fortune in the stars.”

Translate

C’era una volta un uomo che viveva in un piccolo villaggio.

L’uomo diceva: “Sono un astrologo. Posso leggere la fortuna di chiunque nelle stelle”.

 

He used to stare at the night sky and always thought, “This is what this means…. Ah.. So that is what this means…”

One day, he was walking to the forest when he saw the stars above.

Translate

Era solito fissare il cielo notturno e pensava sempre: “Questo è ciò che significa… Ah… Quindi questo è ciò che significa…”

Un giorno stava camminando nella foresta quando vide le stelle in alto.

 

He thought, “Ah the stars look very different today. It must mean only one thing. The world is going to end. I must warn everyone.”

He stared at the sky and kept walking. He was so engrossed that he did not see a large well in front of him. He fell into the well.

Translate

Pensò: “Ah, le stelle hanno un aspetto molto diverso oggi. Deve significare solo una cosa. Il mondo sta per finire. Devo avvertire tutti”.

Fissò il cielo e continuò a camminare. Era così assorto che non vide davanti a sé un grande pozzo. È caduto nel pozzo.

 

The man could not swim and started to scream. The villagers came and saved him.

 One man said, “You pretend to read the stars. However, you did not see what was right in front of you. You should pay attention to what is in front of you. The future will take care of itself.”

Translate

L’uomo non sapeva nuotare e ha iniziato a urlare. Gli abitanti del villaggio vennero e lo salvarono.

Un uomo ha detto: “Fingi di leggere le stelle. Tuttavia, non hai visto cosa c’era proprio di fronte a te. Dovresti prestare attenzione a ciò che hai di fronte. Il futuro si prenderà cura di se stesso “.

 

Moral: “Take care of the little things and the big things will take care of themselves.”

Translate

Morale: “Prenditi cura delle piccole cose e le grandi cose si prenderanno cura di se stesse”.
