Aesop’s Fables – Il corvo e il lanciatore
Once upon a time, it was summer and the land was very dry. A crow was very thirsty and flew around searching for water. Soon it found a small pitcher containing very little water.
The crow said, “CAW CAW. Look, a pitcher of water. I can finally have a drink”.
TranslateC’era una volta un giorno d’estate e la terra era molto secca. Un corvo aveva molta sete e volò in giro alla ricerca di acqua. Presto trovò una piccola brocca contenente pochissima acqua.
Il corvo disse: “CAW CAW. Guarda, una brocca d’acqua. Finalmente posso bere qualcosa”.
He put his head down the pitcher. The crow could not reach the water. He felt more and more thirsty and did not know what to do.
“CAW CAW! The water is still too deep. What should I do?”
The crow looked around and found a mud patch having number of pebbles. Then he got a brilliant idea.
TranslateMise la testa nel lanciatore. Il corvo non poteva raggiungere l’acqua. Aveva sempre più sete e non sapeva cosa fare.
“CAW CAW! L’acqua è ancora troppo profonda. Cosa dovrei fare?”
Il corvo si guardò intorno e trovò una macchia di fango con molti sassi. Poi ha avuto un’idea brillante.
He flew to the mud patch. FLAP! FLAP!
He picked up one pebble with his beak. He hopped over to the jug.
TranslateVolò alla macchia di fango. FLAP! FLAP!
Raccolse un sassolino con il becco. Saltò verso la brocca.
HOP! HOP! HOP! And then he dropped the stone into the pitcher.
The water was still too deep.
TranslateLUPPOLO! LUPPOLO! LUPPOLO! E poi lasciò cadere la pietra nella brocca.
L’acqua era ancora troppo profonda.
He flew to the mud patch. FLAP! FLAP!
He picked up the second pebble with his beak. He hopped over to the jug.

Raccolse il secondo sassolino con il becco. Saltò verso la brocca.
HOP! HOP! HOP! And then he dropped the second stone into the pitcher.

L’acqua era ancora troppo profonda.
He did this many times. For each pebble, the water was rising slowly. Finally the water was high enough. The crow could reach the water and have its fill of water.
TranslateLo fece molte volte. Per ogni sassolino, l’acqua saliva lentamente. Finalmente l’acqua era abbastanza alta. Il corvo potrebbe raggiungere l’acqua e riempirsi d’acqua.
Moral: Little by little does the trick!
