Aesop’s Fables – La madre e il lupo

 

Mr. Wolf was very hungry and was searching for food. He was walking near a hut in the village. The wolf heard a baby crying loudly.

“WAAAAAAH! WAAAAAAH! WAAAAAAH!”

Translate

Il signore lupo era molto affamato e cercava cibo. Stava camminando vicino a una capanna nel villaggio. Il lupo sentì un bambino piangere forte.

 

The Mother said to the baby, “Hush Baby, Hush baby. Stop your crying otherwise I will give you to the wolf.”

Translate

La Madre disse al bambino: “Silenzio piccolo, zitta piccolo. Smettila di piangere altrimenti ti darò al lupo”.

 

The wolf was very happy. He was going to get a baby for lunch today and that too for free. He went near the window and sat down happily.

Translate

Il lupo era molto felice. Stava per prendere un bambino per pranzo e anche gratis. Si avvicinò alla finestra e si sedette felice.

 

The baby did not stop crying. The baby cried and cried but the mother did not give the baby to the wolf. The wolf was waiting the entire day.

Il bambino non smetteva di piangere. Il bambino piangeva e piangeva, ma la madre non diede il bambino al lupo. Il lupo aspettò tutto il giorno.

 

In the end of the day, the mother was putting the baby to sleep.

“Go to sleep, baby, go to sleep. Don’t worry about the wolf. Daddy is watching you. Our dogs are watching you. Daddy will kill the wolf if he is near you.”

Translate

Alla fine della giornata, la madre stava mettendo a dormire il bambino.

“Vai a dormire, piccola, vai a dormire. Non preoccuparti per il lupo. Papà ti sta guardando. I nostri cani ti stanno guardando. Papà ucciderà il lupo se è vicino a te.”

 

The daddy and the dogs just saw the wolf at that very moment. The wolf had to run to save his own life from the man and the dogs.

Il papà e i cani hanno visto il lupo proprio in quel momento. Il lupo dovette correre per salvare la propria vita dall’uomo e dai cani.

 

Moral: Do not believe everything you hear.

Translate

Morale: “Non credere a tutto ciò che senti”.
