Once upon a time, there was a farmer who had a large farm. He had three sons who were very lazy. They did not help him. They used to eat and sleep all day. The farmer was very hard working and used to take care of his farm.

Era uma vez um fazendeiro que tinha uma grande fazenda. Ele tinha três filhos que eram muito preguiçosos. Eles não o ajudaram. Eles costumavam comer e dormir o dia todo. O fazendeiro trabalhava muito e cuidava da sua fazenda.

 

One day the farmer felt that he was growing old. He knew that his sons were lazy. So he decided that he would play a trick to make them understand.

Um dia, o fazendeiro sentiu que estava a envelhecer. Ele sabia que os seus filhos eram preguiçosos. Então ele decidiu que iria pregar uma peça para fazê-los entender.

 

He called his three sons and said, “Sons, listen to me carefully. I have ploughed the fields for many years. Do you know why? There is a large pot of gold hidden in the farm. For many years, I searched for this pot alone. I am now growing old and cannot search anymore. Dig the entire field and you will find the treasure!”

Ele chamou os seus três filhos e disse: “Filhos, ouçam-me com atenção. Eu aro os campos há muitos anos. Sabe porquê? Há um grande pote de ouro escondido na fazenda. Por muitos anos, procurei esse pote sozinho. Agora estou a envelhecer e não posso pesquisar mais. Cave todo o campo e encontrará o tesouro! ”

 

The three sons were very excited. A pot of gold would mean that they did not need to work ever again. They dug the farm all day and night and could not find the pot.

Os três filhos ficaram muito animados. Um pote de ouro significaria que eles não precisariam trabalhar nunca mais. Eles cavaram a fazenda, dia e noite e não conseguiram encontrar o vaso.

 

However, the three sons had dug the farm very well. During the harvest time, the farm produced a very large crop. The sons made a very large profit.

No entanto, os três filhos cavaram a fazenda muito bem. Durante a época da colheita, a fazenda produziu uma safra muito grande. Os filhos tiveram um lucro muito grande.

 

The sons came to the father and said, “We now understand what you mean by the pot of Gold. We have found our treasure. Our treasure is farming.”

Translate

Os filhos foram até o pai e disseram: “Agora entendemos o que quer dizer com pote de ouro. Encontramos o nosso tesouro. O Nosso tesouro é a agricultura. ”
