The two Cocks and the Eagle – Y ddau Geiliog a’r Eryr
Once upon a time, there were two Cocks who lived in the same farm.
Every morning there was a big fight between the Cocks.
TranslateUn tro, roedd dau Geiliog yn byw yn yr un fferm.
Bob bore roedd ymladd mawr rhwng y Ceiliogod.
The first Cock would say, “I am the stronger bird. I must first say Cockadoodledoooooooo”.
The second Cock would say, “No. I am the stronger bird. I must first say Cockadoodledoooooooo”.
They would then scream together, “Cockadoodledoooooooo”.
TranslateByddai’r Ceiliog cyntaf yn dweud, “Fi yw’r aderyn cryfaf. Rhaid imi ddweud yn gyntaf Cockadoodledoooooooo ”.
Byddai’r ail Geiliog yn dweud, “Na. Fi yw’r aderyn cryfaf. Rhaid imi ddweud yn gyntaf Cockadoodledoooooooo ”.
Yna byddent yn sgrechian gyda’i gilydd, “Cockadoodledoooooooo”.
One day the first bird said, “Let us fight. The winner should stay in the farm. The loser should leave the farm.”
The second bird said, “Yes. Let us fight today.”
TranslateUn diwrnod dywedodd yr aderyn cyntaf, “Gadewch inni ymladd. Dylai’r enillydd aros yn y fferm. Dylai’r collwr adael y fferm. ”
Dywedodd yr ail aderyn, “Ie. Gadewch inni ymladd heddiw. ”
The two cocks fought. They fought with their beaks and claws. One Cock scratched the other Cock with its long claws. One Cock pecked the other Cock with its beak. Both the cocks were injured.
Soon the second Cock became tired and the first Cock won the fight.
The second Cock said, “I lose. You are now the winner.”
TranslateYmladdodd y ddau geiliog. Fe wnaethant ymladd â’u pigau a’u crafangau. Crafodd un Ceiliog y Ceiliog arall gyda’i grafangau hir. Pigodd un Ceiliog y Ceiliog arall gyda’i big. Anafwyd y ddau geiliog.
Yn fuan daeth yr ail Geiliog yn flinedig ac enillodd y Ceiliog cyntaf yr ornest.
Dywedodd yr ail Geiliog, “Rwy’n colli. Chi bellach yw’r enillydd. ”
The second Cock went to hide in the shed. The first Cock flew to the top of the roof.
It then shouted loudly at the top of its voice, “Cockadoodledoooooooo! Cockadoodledoooooooo! Cockadoodledoooooooo!”
TranslateAeth yr ail Geiliog i guddio yn y sied. Hedfanodd y Ceiliog cyntaf i ben y to.
Yna gwaeddodd yn uchel ar ben ei lais, “Cockadoodledoooooooo! Cockadoodledoooooooo! Cockadoodledoooooooo! ”
An Eagle heard the sound and saw the Cock on top of the roof. The Eagle flew down and caught the Cock.
The Eagle said, “What a stupid bird you are? You are on top of the roof during the afternoon.”
Saying so, the Eagle ate the Cock and then flew away. The second Cock became the master of the farm.
TranslateClywodd Eryr y sain a gweld y Ceiliog ar ben y to. Hedfanodd yr Eryr i lawr a dal y Ceiliog.
Dywedodd yr Eryr, “Pa fath o aderyn gwirion ydych chi? Rydych chi ar ben y to yn ystod y prynhawn. ”
Gan ddweud hynny, fe wnaeth yr Eryr fwyta’r Ceiliog ac yna hedfan i ffwrdd. Daeth yr ail Geiliog yn feistr ar y fferm.
