Once upon a time, there lived a family of frogs in a pong. There was papa Frog with fat belly and loud croak. There was mama Frog with her large beautiful eyes. There was brother Frog with his long tongue. There was sister Frog with her long nails.

There also were many baby frogs. Grandpa frog always used to read the newspaper. Grandma frog loved to bake. They were a very happy family of frogs.

En gång i tiden bodde en familj med grodor i en damm. Det var pappa groda med fet mage och hög röst. Det var mamma groda med sina stora vackra ögon. Det var bror groda med sin långa tunga och det var syster groda med sina långa naglar.

Det fanns också många grodbarn.  Morfar groda brukade alltid läsa tidningen. Mormor groda älskade att baka. De var en mycket lycklig grodafamilj.

 

One day, a large ox came to the pond to drink water. SPLAAAASH he walked straight into the pond and drank water. Papa frog and brother frog had gone to work in the fields. All the other frogs had gone to the shop to buy cakes. It was only the baby frogs at home and the first time  they saw an Ox.

“Woow. You are so big” said one of the baby frogs to the Ox.

“Hello, baby frog. Yes I am very big” said the ox proudly.

En dag kom en stor oxe till dammen för att dricka vatten. SPLAAAASH han gick rakt ner i dammen och drack vatten. Pappa groda och bror groda arbetade på fälten. Alla andra grodor hade gått till affären för att köpa kakor. Endast grodbarnen var hemma, och det var första gången de såg en oxe.

”Woow. Du är så stor ”sa ett av grodbarnen  till Oxen.

”Hej, groda. Ja, jag är väldigt stor ”sa oxen stolt.

 

“Who are you” asked the baby frog.

“I am the Ox, strong and powerful. I pull the carts for my friend, the farmer”

“Wow. That huge cart over there”, said the baby frog amazed.

“Yes. I can pull it easily even if 10 men sat in it” said the ox proudly.

Translate

”Vem är du” frågade grodan.

”Jag är Oxen, stark och kraftfull. Jag drar vagnarna för min vän, bonden ”

“Wow. Den enorma vagnen där borta? ”, sa grodan förvånad.

“Ja, jag kan lätt dra den även om tio män satt i den ”sa oxen stolt.

 

“There is no bigger animal than the Ox” said one of the baby frogs.

“Indeed”, said all the baby frogs together.

“You are right!” said the Ox.

In the evening when all the frogs came back home, the baby frogs were very excited.

“What happened here? Why are you all excited?” asked papa frog.

”Det finns inget större djur än Oxen” sa en av grodorna.

”Sannerligen”, sa alla grodor tillsammans.

“Du har rätt!” sa oxen.

På kvällen när alla grodor kom hem, var grodorna mycket glada.

“Vad hände här? Varför är ni alla så glada? ” frågade pappa-groda.

 

“We saw an Ox. He is the biggest animal in the entire world” said one of the baby frogs.

“Hmm. Big was he? Is he bigger than me?” said Papa frog loudly.

“Yes. He is so much bigger” said the baby frog.

Papa frog pulled in his breath and puffed himself up.

”Vi såg en oxe. Han är det största djuret i hela världen, sa en av grodorna.

”Hmm. Stor var han. Var han större än mig? ” frågade pappa-groda högt.

“Ja, han är så mycket större ”sa grodan.

Pappa-groda drog in andan och puffade upp sig.

 

“Is he still bigger than me?” said Papa frog loudly.

“Yes. He is so much bigger” said the baby frog.

Papa frog pulled in his breath even more and puffed himself up.

“Is he still bigger than me?” said Papa frog loudly.

Translate

“Är han fortfarande större än mig?” sa Pappa-groda högt.

“Ja, han är så mycket större ”sa grodan.

Pappa-groda andades in ännu mer och puffade upp sig mer.

“Är han fortfarande större än mig?” sa Pappa-groda högt.

 

“Yes. He is so much bigger” said the baby frog.

Papa frog pulled in his breath even more with great difficulty. He puffed himself up to his biggest size.

“Is he still bigger than me?” said Papa frog loudly.

“Yes. He is so much bigger” said the baby frog.

Papa frog pulled in his breath one last time. He puffed himself up so much that he exploded.

Translate

“Ja. Han är så mycket större ”sa grodan.

Pappa-groda drog in ännu mera luft, så han blev så stor som han bara kunde.

“Är han fortfarande större än mig?” sa Pappa-groda högt.

“Ja. Han är så mycket större ”sa grodan.

Pappa-groda drog in andan en sista gång. Han puffade upp sig så mycket att han exploderade.
