Tenali Raman – Tenali Raman y el camello
One day, Tenali Raman was walking down a road. A merchant was running and stopped in front of him. The merchant looked very sad.
TranslateUn día, Tenali Raman caminaba por una calle. Un comerciante estaba corriendo y se detuvo frente a él. El comerciante parecía muy triste.
The merchant said, “Good Evening, Sir. I am searching for my camel. He ran away and I am unable to find him. Did you see him?”
TranslateEl comerciante dijo: “Buenas noches, señor. Estoy buscando mi camello. Se escapó y no puedo encontrarlo. ¿Lo ha visto?”.
Tenali Raman said, “Did the camel have an injury in one leg?”
The merchant said, “Yes. That is my camel, Rani. Her leg was injured a few years ago and she limps. You have seen my camel. Where did it go?”
TranslateTenali Raman dijo: “¿El camello tiene una lesión en una pierna?”.
El comerciante dijo: “Sí. Ese es mi camello, Rani. Su pierna se lesionó hace unos años y cojea. Ha visto a mi camello. ¿A dónde se fue?”.
Tenali Raman said, “I have seen only its footprints. If you see, the camel has left only three foot prints. The fourth is missing so I knew it was limping.”
TranslateTenali Raman dijo: “Solo he visto sus huellas. Si lo nota, el camello ha dejado solo tres huellas. Falta la cuarta, así que sabía que cojeaba.”.
Tenali Raman continued, “Was it blind in the left eye?”
The merchant said, “Yes! Yes! That is my camel.”
TranslateTenali Raman continuó: “¿Era ciego del ojo izquierdo?”.
El comerciante dijo: “¡Sí! ¡Sí! Ese es mi camello.”.
Tenali Raman said, “Was it loaded with sugar on one side and rice on the other side?”
The Merchant became very happy and said, “Yes, all your statements are correct. Did you see my camel?”
TranslateTenali Raman dijo: “¿Estaba cargando azúcar por un lado y arroz por el otro?”.
El comerciante se puso muy feliz y dijo: “Sí, todas sus declaraciones son correctas. ¿Vio usted a mi camello?”.
Tenali Raman said, “I did not see any camel. Only the right side of the bush is eaten. Similarly, there is a trail of sugar pieces on one side of the footprints and a trail of rice on the other side of the footprints. I think both bags must have small holes on them.”
TranslateTenali Raman dijo: “No vi ningún camello. Solo el lado derecho de los arbustos fue comido. Del mismo modo, hay un rastro de trozos de azúcar a un lado de las huellas y un rastro de arroz al otro lado de las huellas. Creo que ambas bolsas deben tener pequeños agujeros.”.
The Merchant became very annoyed and said, “Then how do I find my camel? I already know all that you have said.”
Tenali Raman smiled and said, “Just follow the footprints. You will find your camel soon.”
TranslateEl comerciante se molestó mucho y dijo: “Entonces, ¿cómo encuentro a mi camello? Ya sabía todo lo que usted ha dicho.”.
Tenali Raman sonrió y dijo: “Solo sigue las huellas. Pronto encontrarás a tu camello.”.
The merchant took his advice and followed the trail. Soon, he found his camel slowly limping along the road.
TranslateEl comerciante tomó su consejo y siguió el rastro. Pronto, encontró a su camello cojeando lentamente por el camino.
