The story “The Lion, The Bear and The Fox” is a very famous Aesop’s Fables story which is more than a few hundred years old. In this story, a bear and lion fight over some food instead of sharing it and the story turns tables soon.

The story

Once upon a time, there was a great famine in the forest. Most of the plant eating animals or Herbivores left the forest. The meat eating animals or the Carnivores, decided to stay on.

The animals were starving and food was rare. One day a bear was searching for food when it saw a lamb. The Bear was ready to jump and eat the lamb when a Lion also saw the Lamb.

The Lion growled and moved towards the lamb. The Bear stood in the middle they both attacked each other. Soon, both the Lion and the Bear were very tired and exhausted from all the fighting.

Just as they were lying down, a fox ran towards the lamb, grabbed it and ran into the forest. The Bear and the Lion were too tired to chase the fox.

The Bear said, “It would have been better if we had just shared the Lamb.”

Moral of the story:

The moral of the Aesop’s Fable is that “Those who have all the toil do not always get the profit.”
