Akbar and Birbal – Bara en fråga
Birbal was very famous for his wit and intelligence. He was well known in Akbar’s kingdom and also in faraway lands. One day a famous scholar visited Akbar’s court. He wanted to challenge Birbal’s intelligence.
TranslateBirbal var mycket känd för sin skicklighet och intelligens. Han var välkänd i Akbars rike och även i avlägsna länder. En dag besökte en berömd lärare Akbar’s hov. Han ville utmana Birbals intelligens.
He said, “My dear King. I have travelled all over the world. There is no one who is as intelligent as me. I wish to challenge Bribal.”
Akbar was amused and said, “How would you like to challenge Birbal?”
TranslateHan sa, ”Min kära kung. Jag har rest över hela världen. Det finns ingen som är så intelligent som jag. Jag vill utmana Bribal. ”
Akbar blev road och sa: “Hur skulle du vilja utmana Birbal?”
The scholar said, “I will give him a choice. I shall ask him either 100 easy questions or one very difficult question.”
TranslateLäraren sa, ”Jag ska ge honom ett val. Jag ska ställa honom antingen 100 enkla frågor eller en mycket svår fråga. ”
Akbar asked Birbal, “Do you accept this Scholar’s challenge? I shall award the victor 100 gold coins.”
TranslateAkbar frågade Birbal, ”accepterar du den här lärarens utmaning? Jag ska tilldela vinnaren 100 guldmynt. ”
Birbal said, “Yes my King. I will choose to answer the one difficult question.”
The scholar said, “Which came first, the egg or the chicken?”
TranslateBirbal sa, ”Ja min kung. Jag kommer att välja att besvara den svåra frågan. ”
Läraren sa: “Vilket kom först, ägget eller kycklingen?”
Birbal immediately said, “The chicken came first.”
The scholar laughed and mocked Birbal, “How can you say so surely. No one can be sure of the answer as the question is impossible to answer.”
TranslateBirbal sa omedelbart: “Kycklingen kom först.”
Läraren skrattade och hånade Birbal, ”Hur kan du säga så säkert? Ingen kan vara säker på svaret eftersom frågan är omöjlig att svara på. ”
Birbal replied, “I promised to answer one difficult question and I have answered. You are now asking me a second question and therefore I will not reply.”
TranslateBirbal svarade: ”Jag lovade att svara på en svår fråga och jag har svarat. Du ställer mig nu en andra fråga och därför kommer jag inte att svara. ”
The King laughed and said, “That is correct Birbal. You have answered the scholar and he is breaking his challenge by asking you a second question. You are the smartest man in all the kingdoms.”
TranslateKungen skrattade och sa, ”Det är korrekt Birbal. Du har svarat läraren och han bryter utmaningen genom att ställa dig en andra fråga. Du är den smartaste mannen i alla riken. ”
The king awarded Birbal 100 gold coins and the scholar left the kingdom sadly.
TranslateKungen tilldelade Birbal 100 guldmynt och läraren lämnade kungariket sorgligt.
Moral: Presence of mind helps solve even the most difficult of problems.
