Story:

Once upon a time, there was a great war between the Birds and the Beasts. The war went on for almost a year. Why did the war start? There were many reasons for this war.

The Ducks and Geese Family suffered a lot from the Foxes.

The Eagles and the Hawks caused terror upon the Rabbits and the Squirrels.

The Owl ate the mice regularly.

The Rats and the wolves ate the eggs of the birds.

The war was terrible. Many animals died in the war. The war never seemed to end.

The Bat family never joined any side. When the birds asked them to fight, the Bats said: “But we are not Birds and have no tiff with the Beasts. But because you asked first, we shall fight for you.”

When the Beasts asked them to fight, the Bats said: “But we are not Beasts and have no tiff with the Birds. But because you asked first, we shall fight for you.”

However the Bats hid themselves all day and would wake up after the day ended. The Bats and the Beasts noticed this but did not complain. One year later when the war ended, the Birds and the Beasts joined together for a party.

The Bats were not invited by the Beasts because they were deceitful and did not fight for the Beasts. The Bats were not invited by the Birds because they were deceitful and did not fight for the Birds. So, they never told the Bats that the war ended. So to date, the Bats wake up only at night , hide in dark towers and spend the day sleeping.

 

Moral of the story:

The moral of the Aesop’s Fable “The Birds the Beasts and the Bats” is that “The deceitful have no friends.”
