Once upon a time, there lived a very poor man who had a Goose. He loved the goose and took care of it very well. The Goose was very happy with him.
One day when the man came to see his goose, he saw that the goose had laid a beautiful golden egg. The poor man was very happy. He sold the egg in the market and made a bag of money. He purchased a big bag of tasty grain for his friend, the Goose.
He said to the Goose, “I am so happy. Thank you for the golden egg. I can now take care of you even better.”
The next day the Goose was so happy it laid a second golden egg. The man was not poor now but he was very happy. He sold the egg in the market and made a second bag of money. He purchased a bigger bag of tasty grain for his friend, the Goose.
He said to the Goose, “I am so happy. Thank you for the two golden eggs. I can now take care of you even better.”
The goose started to lay a golden egg every day and the man became very rich. The man became very greedy.
He thought, “I still do not have enough money. Maybe if I cut the Goose, I can take out all the golden eggs and become very rich.”
The man killed the Goose and cut it open. There were no golden eggs inside the Goose. Also all the gold coins he had earned disappeared. The man became poor once again and his friend, the Goose, was dead.
